When I first signed up for Survey of American Literature I didn't think I was actually going to enjoy it. Teachers I've
had in the past made Amercian Literature seem very borring and dull. But this semester has changed many of my views about
American Literature. Here are just a few of them.
When many people think of American Literature, the first authors that come to their mind are Thoreau and Whitman. For
me, I think of Emily Dickinson and Edgar Allen Poe. These are the two Authors I connect with the most. In the next few pages
I will disscuss some of the other authors I have made a connection with this past semester.
